The PTO, in its mission to enrich children's educational experiences, spends $250-300 per student each year to offer additional exceptional educational opportunities not covered by the Town's school budget; providing financial support, building community and organizing & funding Creative Arts & Sciences curriculum-aligned programs. Every child in every grade benefits from PTO programs & funds. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, the PTO 100% operated by dedicated parent volunteers & all proceeds go directly back to the students & school. This year, from redistricting & other movements, Hunnewell's student population grew 47% and staff increased by almost 20%. As such, the PTO's operating budget accomodated for the changes.
Traditionally held every 2 years, the Auction served as the PTO's signature fundraiser, but due to Covid & school construction, this year's Gala will be the first in-person auction since 2018. With reduced fundraising opportunities in years past & increased school size, the importance of generous supporters like you are crucial to the success of the PTO's mission. By donating, you are directly impacting our students' future experiences.
